Day 5 The Master’s Hammer and Chisel: Hammer ISO Strength

Day 5 The Master’s Hammer and Chisel: Hammer ISO Strength

Hey Yall!

I hope you have been enjoying a fantastic weekend! My weekend was certainly fantastic but today turned out to be just one of those days. I stayed up late last night and fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. Anna on the other hand, was not in the sleeping mood. Most nights I will hear her cry over the monitor but she goes right back to sleep shortly after so I don’t get up. Not last night. I’m not sure what was going on with her but she needed mommy. So while I did get snuggles, I didn’t get a lot of sleep. Oh well. So I apologize if this blog post is coming across somewhat foggy. It’s because it’s coming out of a foggy brain.

So sleep or not, I still had a lot to do today. I took yesterday as a rest day so I had to workout this morning. Then church. Then my sister-in-law’s birthday celebration. Then catch up on work at home. Now I am blogging before my Beachbody team call. These things were not the reason that it was “one of those days”, it was all the little annoying things that happened during my busy day made it stressful. Things like my dog pooping on the floor this morning,  he’s 4! I missed the garbage can and got wet coffee grounds all over the floor…. TWICE, Anna pulled over Jason’s protein shake and got milk EVERYWHERE. You know, awesome stuff like that.  The good thing about “those days” is that they make days that you do get to fire on all cylinders and don’t miss the garbage can that much better!

The Master’s Hammer and Chisel: Hammer ISO Strength

Today was another Hammer workout. Hammer ISO Strength. It was pretty cool but I need to use more weight next time. I didn’t know what to expect and ended up going to light. But the workout is great! For each exercise you do 10 reps followed by 10 seconds of as many reps as you can do! The exercises were basic body building moves like sumo squats, chin-ups, bicep curls, and calf raises. I love this program so far because it is so different! Each new workout is a surprise. And the blow by because you keep moving onto different exercises.

Today’s food! I was able to stay on track despite my super packed day but I ended up having a bunch of yogurt because it was easy. Oh well, I love yogurt haha.

Have a great night everyone and I hope you have a wonderful start to your week!

Have you had one of those days lately? Tell me about it!

How do you stay on track when you have a ton to do in one day?

  1. Well, today is one of those off schedule days. A last minute dr appt for my Dad and an unscheduled meeting with my work accountant. Just got home. Enjoying a green tea. So…Mary does not feel like exercising and I also didn’t have the time to eat anything for lunch but a quick protein bar from the gas station, appt ran much longer than I thought 😖. I dont even have plans for dinner. Homemade soup I guess. This is what happens when you head off for a weekend in the city…with no responsibilities, no schedule, no cooking and no cleaning. It plainly just ruins you ! However, on a good note…we walked and walked and walked and walked 😀

    1. Ugh, I hate it when there’s no time to get ready for the week. I need mental time too lol. I am an introvert and as much as I love being with family and friends, I always need to have alone time afterward to gather my thoughts or else I feel all discombobulated lol. Yay for walking!!! You always look at the positive. 🙂
