Hellooooooo Challengerrrrrrrrs!

How was the first Monday of the challenge? I hope it was Lean, Mean, and Squeaky Clean haha! Seriously, I hope you all had an amazing day and if not, jump right in full force tomorrow. I was thinking, this challenge is running until June 21st, 2017. Do you know how amazing we are going to feel this summer because we started now? I am so pumped!

  1. Wow. Today was a terrible day. Super busy at work. Came home to the first time I needed to actually punish my child. Man, that hurts! Parenting is by far the hardest thing I have ever done. But I did stick to my plan pretty much!

    B- chicken sausage, wilted spinach and salsa
    L- ground beef, onion, pepper, zucchini, spinach and salsa
    S- cashew milk, glutamine, collagen and cinnamon shake
    S- an accidental cookie. They were on the counter and I’ve gotten so good at mindlessly eating that I grabbed one and then mumbled to my husband with my mouth full “this is not on my meal plan.” Oops, lol!
    D- kombucha, chicken burger and kale salad (I just have to celebrate here that my son also ate salad. His was butter lettuce, but whatever. He. Eats. Salad. I’m so excited!! My efforts have been worth it! Don’t give up!)
    S- strawberries with a little Nutella. My son and I do this together. He loves strawberries so much!

    Exercise: rest. My legs are so sore from running yesterday!

    Hopefully tomorrow is better. We all make mistakes but it really stinks to be disappointed in my child. I just love him so much it hurts. He’s always so good. It was surprising. Anyway. Moving on, extra prayers tonight. Love you ladies!

    1. I hear you. My 4.5 year old has been super defiant lately. Totally testing boundarys. I’m having trouble with effective disapline for him. Any suggestions are welcome:-)

      1. That’s a tough age. Old enough to be pretty bad, but not old enough to reason with about it. My best advice is stick to your guns, whatever they may be. If you don’t waiver testing you gets boring because he’ll figure out it doesn’t work.

    2. So like the first time ever punishing him?……. 😳 How does that even happen? But I know what you mean, Ryan is lying to me lately. He gets punished twice, once for what he did, once for lying. It’s the worst! I’d much rather him just ruin my stuff.

      Do you get that collagen from Costco?

      1. I mean, I’ve done little stuff like go sit in your room and think about it. But nothing more than five minutes. This was no tv, no tablet, no electronics the whole night, and if you can’t tell me why that happened, why it’s wrong and why your sorry, then it’s the whole week. It was tough to watch him be mad at me. But he did so good. It took a while but he came around and we actually had a good night at the end.
        I get the Great Lakes collagen. I order from either amazon or thrive market.

      2. Gotcha. I have many of these nights coming to me. Good for you for doing your duty and I knew Nicholas would understand in the end.
        Oh ok thanks! I can’t remember if I replied to what you said about this being the same time of year that you started eating clean before. I remember your before and after pics from that and I have always been so astounded at how you were able to keep it all off even during your times of not really keeping up with it all. You are amazing!

  2. Aw, I know how it feels to discipline a good child but it can happen and hopefully they learn a lesson from the experience. Hope tomorrow is a better day.

    I had a good day, went to a Body Pump class after work and stuck with my food plan.

    B – coffee with coconut oil and heavy cream
    L – pesto chicken with roasted vegetables
    S – 1 oz macadamia nuts, mixed veggies, 1 oz cheese
    D – homemade hamburger patty, steamed broccoli, homemade cole slaw
    S – homemade coconut flax bread with coconut oil

  3. Today was good. A little low on energy, which is not my norm lately. Oh well. I had a massage late this afternoon and I’m feeling pretty good. It hurt like crazy though. First workout in a while yesterday, two car accidents in 6 months and year end for work. My body just aches from head to toe! Lol I’m on weekly massages, twice a week chiropractor and twice a week physio. I can’t do pain meds or anti inflammatory so I’m all over functional therapys:-)
    Any way the food!

    Lettuce wrap burger with mushrooms and spinach with kale and beer salad. (Had dinner at A girl friends with all the kiddos. 4 boys 🤕😩) I love traveling and eating with her! We literally eat the exact same! It’s fantastic!
    And then I got home and their was a 1/4 of a vega bar and I ate that! Oops!

    1. Ugh! I hate that you are in all this pain! Maybe it has to do with your migraine you had. Hopefully you will feel better when your body gets used to all of this.
      You aren’t starving??? You had 2 bars and lettuce wraps!!! Lol

      1. Not at all actually! Since I stopped snacking at night I’m seriously not hungry! EVER. Or maybe it’s that I quit Diet Pepsi?? Or quit all drinking??? Or maybe I have no idea but I’m totally good with it! Lol I’m not losing weight either, which is fine. I’m exactly the same as post 3 day refresh:-)

      2. I bet it is the Diet Coke and the drinking! I know those things cause cravings for me big time. It just takes time with the weight but then again you are at a great weight and you already look amazing!
        I however still have weight to lose and I really think the 3 Day Refresh was the kickstart I need. I am down another pound. I could lose any for weeks and weeks!
