Lean, Mean, and Squeaky Clean Challenge – March 14, 2017

Hey Ladies!

So sorry that most of you are snowed in! Luckily, spring is right around the corner and will hopefully be worth the complete life derailment which is daylight savings time.

Lean, Mean, and Squeaky Clean Challenge!

Here is Sarah’s son Declan helping her make her coconut tortillas. Good boy!

And here is her beloved Vegan bar with coffee breakfast. What a motivational mug!

Here is more of Anne’s beautiful food…

Blueberry pancakes, chicken soup, and warm apples with cinnamon!

I took today as my cheat meal. What does someone who doesn’t eat sugar and is a vegan for a week eat for a cheat meal? I know Pinterest is filled with tons of amazing vegan cheat meal recipes but you know me, still same ole G. Rockin the plain food.

I had a few bowls of this blueberry, nutty, coconut, cashew milk “cereal”. I always feel weird sharing my cheats because I know no one else thinks of them as cheats but they make me happy and that’s all that matters right? Haha!

Here’s the rest! Dinner was baby bellas and green beans with guac. So good!

Exercise was MHC Hammer Conditioning. 🙂

Hope you all had a great day and are ready to kick it again tomorrow!

Love you all,

What did you eat today?

Thoughts and feelings?

  1. So I got out of the blizzard! It tracked a little away from us. Three inches of snow then about and inch of slush. Not too bad! The wind was howling and there was a ton of rain and flooding. And I’m sure it will ice tonight, but I’m not going anywhere until Thursday so whatever! It’s like an extra weekend, I’m loving it! We played a ton, snuggled, did laundry, cleaned out dressers to donate clothes. It’s been gloriously relaxing and productive. Great day!

B- paleo blueberry pancakes. What a treat! And clean! I felt like I cheated!!
    L- chicken veggie soup
    S- warm apple with cinnamon
D- grass fed beef burger and kale salad
S- air popped popcorn drizzled with melted kerrygold butter and a kombucha
My son is so excited, he loves making popcorn!

    Exercise: I did this: http://www.pbfingers.com/bodyweight-workout-at-home-workout/
Wow. My cardio sucks. But I pushed and did it! I did leave out the skaters and the crickets because they bothered my hip. I figured out that my hip pain is my hamstring. Working on that. I’m so proud of myself though. This was way out of my comfort zone and I did it anyway and it was fun! Exactly what I need because I never do it and I need to work on it. I can’t wait until this workout is easy in a few months.

    Great Tuesday ladies!!

    1. So glad the storm passed you! I’m so down be with winter. I live in Vancouver and we rarely get snow. Well not this year folks! Ugh
Anyways! Food sounds yummy! Also try your IT band. When my hips are tight my trainer gets my to work on my IT bands and it losens up:-)

  2. B: chia pudding
S: banana and handful of cashews
    L: salad and green tea
    S: yogurt and protein powder
D: cup of veggie chili and protein shake

    Kettebell/fit board workout at home.

Feeling much better than yesterday 😊

  3. Declan is so cute helping out in the kitchen, I remember those days (sigh). The storm wasn’t as bad as predicted but I still skipped my Zumba class and did some yoga stretches at home instead. I have my food and gym bag packed and ready to go for tomorrow.

B – coffee with heavy cram
L – 2 egg muffins, salad with olive oil and balsamic
S – clementine, cheese stick, almonds
D – spaghetti squash with alfredo sauce and chicken
S – Camino dark chocolate and coconut bar (it was so good I ended up eating half of the bar)

    1. Nice! Love that you are all set for today Christine! Glad that you enjoyed the choco bar. You do so good even with eating half the bar. I have to eat all of everything lol. Working on this.

  4. Same old people! Lol I actually purchased different food to eat today but I had a few project for my moms 60th birthday tomorrow so I opted for grilled chicken. Again. Well I totally forgot about it and overlooked it. So I guess I had chicken jerky so that’s different! Lol
I worked out this morning with Carsen for an hour. Mostly core as I’m really trying to be done with this lower back issue. So I’m focusing on stabilizing. I’m soooooooo over pain!

  5. Well, we got the snow that you all didn’t !!!! Estimated 20 plus inches here at my house. So…shoveling was my main workout. About two hours with what I needed to do. Back very tender today so I am going to concentrate on exercises that won’t interfere that current issue. However…As I look out, I see I do have about four more inches of snowfall to clean up.

The food sounds so good ladies. Good ideas. Anne, those pancakes look delish ! Christine, you reminded me of a favorite spaghetti squash meal. 😀

B: seed bowl. hemp, chia, flax, unsweetened coconut milk, green apple chunks, frozen cherries
    S: celery w/pnb
L: Vega w/frozen greens, mixed berries
S: 1/2 apple pie larabar. Yum ! Forgot how yummy these were.
D: Beef roast, 1/2 russet potato, onion, peppers, carrot, mushrooms, garlic
I did end up munching on a few Newmans pretzels.

Exercise- 12 squats, 12 curtesy squats, 24 lunges, 24 donkey kicks

    1. Wow! That is a lot of snow!!!
We had a blizzard back in the 90’s but other than that I have never seen more than just a few inches of snow 😦
Sorry your back is tender Mary but great job doing what you can. xoxoxo
