Lean, Mean, and Squeaky Clean Challenge – For the Win!
I know that a lot of us have had weight loss success this week but I KNOW that we all especially deserve a big shout out for sticking to our guns week. Last weekend a few of us expressed lackluster motivation but then totally regrouped and kicked serious challenge butt this week! Way to freaking go!!!
It’s so cool to see all of our work. 🙂
So my wins this week are that I hung in there through the lack of motivation and I am down 4 POUNDS on the scale this week. That’s a total of 52 pounds! Woot woot! (37 minus baby and water)
I want to share this for anyone experiencing scale frustration. I have been trucking along at this for six and a half months now and let me tell you, WEIGHT LOSS IS NOT LINEAR. We have to be patient. Every single month, I lose nothing for two weeks, then the pounds come off for two weeks. And in the beginning, I lost NOTHING for a month and a half!
This is especially true for those of us in our 30’s and beyond. As young as we feel, our body is changing and we can’t expect it to do the same things that it used to. In my 20’s, I could maintain my weight with around 2200 calories and lose with 1800. I could also have a whole cheat DAY every week and still be on track with my goals. That no longer works haha. So meet yourself where you are and be patient. I cannot stress the patience enough.
Patient and consistent!
