Lean, Mean, and Squeaky Clean Challenge – April 12, 2017

Hey everyone!

I’m back!

How’s everyone doing? Good I hope! But if not, the good thing is that you can just jump right back in. ๐Ÿ™‚

Lean, Mean, and Squeaky Clean Challenge!

Today I finished The Master’s Hammer and Chisel!!! Yay! No break though, jumping into 21 Day Fix tomorrow. I finally figured out how I will do the containers while keeping a vegan diet.ย If you don’t know what I’m talking about, the 21 Day Fix is a Beachbody program where you use a portion control container system for your meals and then do the 21 Day Fix Workouts……..for 21 days haha. I will of course keep you posted on how this goes. Portion control is definitely not my forte.

Today’s food! This is not the 21 Day fix stuff, I am starting that tomorrow. Workout was The Master’s Hammer and Chisel: Hammer Power. All done!

Are you good with portion control?

What did you eat today?

Any exercise?

Have a great night everyone!

  1. Hey, hey ๐Ÿ’. I’ve been semi MIA. Busy with bringing parents to doctors appt and I’ve begun yard clean up. Just trying to do what I have to do. So…..this should have been my second week on my challenge. But…I totally got off task and decided not to do it this week. My schedule was so all over the place that I didn’t have the planning in place this week to stick with it. I did lose about three pounds. Of course, water weight. Maybe I will begin again on Monday. Or, I will just say the heck with it and just do my normal thing. I find myself flip flopping. Hate that. Need to chill because I am reaching at everything. Taking a step back and regrouping would be most beneficial to me. I did exercise today after I got home at 4:30. Not typical that I can focus at that time of day. That’s when I begin food prep for dinner and whatnot. House was warm but I opened the double windows and took my shirt off, lol ! Enjoyed it completely because I was NOT going to do it but I did and I loved it!

    Foods –

Vega vanilla w/frozen spinach, frozen strawberries, uns almond milk, cinnamon
A snack pack mixed nuts, 1/2 apple pear two ingredient fruit bar thingy
    1 c beef barley soup
1/2 pineapple apricot two ingredient fruit bar thingy
Gf cheese pizza crust, frozen premade, sautรฉed peppers, onions, mushrooms, garlic, roasted red peppers, chicken kale sausage, smear sauce, dollops ricotta cheese, a bit shr. Swiss. YUM !

    Exercises ~ 24 of each

    Hammer curls, 12 lbs
    Rows, 12 lbs
    Flys, 8 lbs
    Tricep kick backs, 8 lbs
    Overhead arm extensions, 8 lbs
    Chest press, 12 lbs
    Overhead extension, back, 12 lbs
36 Squats, wide & closed leg stance
    36 walking lunges
    50 bicycle
2 12 minute walks with dog

    1. I think you are right on point with stepping away from everything. I’m like that too,if I have too much going on I can’t focus! It’s better to have a few strong focal points rather than do tons of things half a**ed. Good thinking Mary!!!
Your pizza sounds delish! Great workout!!!
      Love you!

  2. Portion control is doable for me. As long as it’s good foods. I don’t do so good portion controlling treats, lol! So I’ve been doing good this week! (Besides the chocolate bunny that I bought for my son and accidentally melted in my car, so naturally it became mine, lol!)
I have finally realized the joy that is morning workouts! Like I said Monday, fitting in a workout without taking time away from my son was becoming an issue. So I sat and thought long and hard about my day. I get up early with my husband to spend time with him before he goes to work, and I’m a morning person anyway. Well, if I just stop wasting time, I have 30 minutes in the morning with nothing else to do but exercise. My husband leaves at 6:30, my son doesn’t wake up until 7. So instead of cruising around Bloglovin and IG looking at the bodies of others that I want, I’m going to exercise and get it! Today was the second day in a row and I feel great about myself. I have more energy and I’m in a better mood. I’m more relaxed in the evening because I don’t have too much to do. It’s honestly making my life better! And I feel empowered because now I am actually being the person I want to be. Yay!!

    B- blueberry almond “cereal”
S- smoothie- cherries, broccoli, spinach, almond butter, water
L- spaghetti squash, turkey and veggies
    S- chocolate bunny!
D- herb chicken, peas and mashed red potatoes
    S- kombucha

    Yesterday was similar

    Tuesday- glutes/ legs
    Wednesday- kettle bell circuit

I’m so excited I figured out a better schedule!!

    1. PREACH!
Portion control is SO much easier when it is real food!!!
Hahaha!!! Natrually it’s yours now ๐Ÿ™‚
Yay for morning workouts!!! It feels so good to get it done early! Way to go!!!
I love hearing you say that you are feeling so good about yourself because that it the whole purpose of these challenges. Great work Anne! Thank you for being so awesome and showing up everyday. xoxoxox

      1. Lol Anne! It is great to find that magical work out time. And, yes…soooo empowering when completed work outs happen. I feel good today as I increased weights and pushed through last few reps. I want muscles ! You and I share the taste for snacks. I know treats will be eaten Sunday as I did buy some chocolate for the dessert table. I am my own enemy ๐Ÿ˜ก. I found this week, I just have to do what I am thinking or wanting because otherwise I’m not getting over the thought of whatever it may be.
