Hey hey!

Wow Thursday! Where did the week go? Alright my lovely ladies, how did you make it happen today?

Lean, Mean, and Squeaky Clean Challenge!

So Kathleen is down 8 pounds (woot woot!) and here are a few of her meals from this week….

I started the vegan version of 21 Day Fix today. Once I figured out my vegan proteins it was way easier than I thought. You find your personal container bracket on their eating plan and then if it’s fits, you eat it! After each meal, you just mark off the containers you used in the 21 Day Fix app. You all know me and I like SIMPLE. And this is definitely simple. Here is my food from today. It was way more food than I thought it would be and I still have one more snack which I will post in the comments.

I also started the 21 Day Fix workouts. I thought that I upgraded my plan to all access last week but apparently I didn’t so I ended up doing 21 Day Fix Extreme instead. I did this program after I was able to workout again after having Anna. Man! These workouts are sooooo much easier when you aren’t 60 pounds over weight and going off of three hours of sleep every night haha! Extreme plyometrics is tough but seemed like a breeze in comparison!

If you are having a day that your workout seems extra tough, do it anyway! Those workouts make the others seem so much easier!

  1. Just realized I’m totally slacking on the food pics! And I’ve been doing so good! Today was wonderful! Super busy but I stayed on track! And it was easy and fun and I was so happy about it. The challenge really feels like a gift to myself now. And I discovered today that I can satisfy my sweet craving after lunch with applesauce!! I’m so excited.

    B- blueberry almond “cereal”
    S- collagen shake
    L- spaghetti squash, turkey and veggies
    S- applesauce
    D- cassava tortilla carnitas
    S- double kombucha

    Exercise- stretching. So. Freaking. Sore. It feels great!

    I feel so cheesy into this! Lol! I’m just so happy that after falling off like I did two weekends ago, I just picked back up and got myself back together. It took a week or so and some screw ups, but I did it. What a confidence boost. Usually when I fall off I stay off for a while and I end up spending more time off than on. But that just changed. I’m being who I want to be. Because I can. Thanks for listening!

  2. Happy Easter everyone! I’ve been back a few days now and reluctant to join back in for some reason. I didn’t fall off the wagon or anything. I’m actually quite proud of myself that I managed to stay on track through sickness and a vacation, broken computer and the CRA (IRS to you Americans) losing my $8000 tax payment!!!!! Still not found but they are working on it. Anyway. Here I am!
    My food has changed finally.
    I’m still having a vega bar for breakfast. Then a lunch of sweet potatoe and protein or rice and protein. Then another vega bar. Then my usual huge dinner. Followed by a protein shake or something if I’m hungry. I’ve been training and supplementing so hard that I’m a biting machine. I upped my calories to 2000 and was still losing so now I’m at about 2200-2300 and maintaining and putting on muscle. Even in my best shape I could never eat that much. Kinda cool!!!!
    As for excersice I’m doing two leg/glute days, two back/chest days, and two shoulder/arm days. One day off. I tag on 3-4 core excersises everyday.
    Since I got home and back in the gym I’ve barely been able to walk. I LOVE THAT FEELING! Lol.
    Something that was super hard…. hmmmm. Cleaning! I used to dispise it. Mess didn’t bother me. Now it give me anxiety. Cleaning is just about as much a stress reliever for me as working out. I love it. I comes so naturally to me now. The only down fall is that I’m hyper aware of dirt and mess now.
    Something that is still hard for me. Ironing and the post office. I have a mind blank on these two tasks.

      WHAT! Where are the 2300 calories??? You previous posts were 2 vega bars and dinner. Dinner? Or is it your MCT oil? I am floored!
      You are adulting so hard right now! Lol! That’s awesome!!!

      1. Lol vega bars and dinner plus coconut oil and protein shakes were at 2000. Since Mexico I’m at 2300:-)

  3. Sounds good ladies. Great weight loss Kathleen !!! Angela, the strength you gained during the hammer n chisel improved your capabilities to handle any of the 21 day fixes. Sometimes you gotta go stronger 💪😜 to appreciate and accomplish less. I did that with my last workout. Increased weight on every exercise. Really pushed the last few reps.

    My days…they have not really been productive. Have you ever just felt like doing what the heck you wanted and didn’t care if it was not healthy ? Well, that is where I am at and I think I just need to ride it out because I have not been able to overcome the desire to be careless. I have shut down from it all. It does feel kinda good. Freedom, no boundaries, no rules, no demands. I think this has much to do with the season change. Transisitions. Everything changes for me. My mind seems short wired. I try to think about dinner meal prep and I am blank. It’s the change of food. From winter crock pot style to spring style. I crave outings, I crave drinks with friends, I crave ice cream, I crave someone else providing my meals, lol ! I just want to (excuse the wording) screw off ! I will bounce back, I am just not ready for it now.

    My plan is to incorporate productivity. Haha ! Rather than to completely become crazy and lazy, I will include a hike or walk into my screw off outings. I will set daily goals as far as what I need to get done for housework or yard work. This will keep me moving and hopefully push me back on the right track.

    This was my day yesterday. I spent it with my sister and her daughter. Shopping and errands. Then evening with my sister,her husband and friends. A full day of screwing off.

    B. Vega smoothie w/frozen greens, frozen strawberries, cinnamon
    S. 2 choc/caramel chocolates. Baked pita chips, clean.
    L. Flat bread fire baked pizza w/chicken, pepperoni. All natural ingredients. Delicious !
    A shared dessert of a lemon whoopie pie w/vanilla ice cream and homemade whipped cream.
    The three of us shared this and it was a very small portion. We did not even finish it.
    S. 1/2 kind fruit bar. Apricot/pear. Only fruit and veggie.
    D. A bite of leftover pizza.
    S. 2 cocktails, 6 steak french fries, 2 seltzers. This was a total tipsy craving for comfort foods !
    (The result of being bored and joining with family and friends at local bar).

      I agree! Now that I have more sleep and did Insanity Max 30, things are definitely more enjoyable lol. But challenging nonetheless! I did Extreme Pilates this morning and man my core needs work!
      Ugh, I hope you are able to ignite your fire again soon. I think we all go this from time to time. Keep your head up girl! xoxoxox.
      I got some Vega protein powder because I needed another vegan protein for the end of the night on 21 Day Fix. It does the job but man the flavor is terrible. I got coconut almond. Bleh, I will have to try a different flavor next time lol.
      Happy Easter Mary! I am breaking from blogging for the weekend and will resume Monday. Still bring my containers to my gatherings though!

      1. Ah I wish you had if told me you were buying that! Yuck is is right! Berry, vanilla, mocha sport protein is good. And for less protein tropical and berry smoothie are really good. I can’t speak to the vega one products because they have maca in them and inulin which does not agree with me. They all come in single serve packets. I tried them all before buying a tub.

  4. Yesterday wasn’t too bad but I’m just not back into it yet….not sure why I can’t get motivated.

    S: Almonds and kind bar
    L: Hummus & veggie pita
    D: scalloped potatoes, veggies and strawberries
    D: dairy-free oreo ice cream. I had no idea Breyer’s made dairy-free but it was really good!

    No real exercise, played with the kids outside after work. I ended up going shopping for Easter basket stuff on my lunch break. I am signed up for Barre tomorrow morning at the gym and am planning to run outside on Sunday since the gym is closed. I’m going to get back to it. I’m inspired by everybody that is doing so well, you guys rock!

    I used to be terrible at squats! I could not get the form right to save my life and I would get embarrassed/frustrated when people would correct me. It took me a long time to get it right but I’m finally there.

      Yeah your day definitely wasn’t too bad! Sometimes it’s hard knowing Easter is coming up. I am going to break from blogging for the weekend and resume on Monday. Enjoy your weekend and we will all come back with a vengeance on Monday! xoxox
