Lean, Mean, and Squeaky Clean Challenge – April 26, 2017

Hey Yall!

Today was weird, but not bad! It’s just that every now and then Anna will revert back to her newborn habits. We were up a 4am, then I took a nap at 7am. It just makes the day weird. I would have gotten up for the day but I stayed up way past midnight. Never fails, you stay up late, they wake up early. Sigh.

Lean, Mean, and Squeaky Clean Challenge! 

How can we make this challenge more fun? I know! We can go back to a theme for each day of the week. What’s today? Wednesday….. Hmmm. Workout Wednesday would be good but I took my rest day today so let’s make it….. Wednesday Words! Share some inspiration! Verses, favorite quotes, etc.

This is an oldie but goodie and the reason why I love you ladies and the ladies in my Beachbody life!

  1. So I totally fell asleep before I posted last night! Oops! Today was pretty much a repeat so y’all didn’t miss much, lol!

    B- Angela cereal
    L- natural sausage, veggies, nutritional yeast
    S- trail mix
    D- instant pot organic BBQ chicken thighs and mac n cheese (need to trade carbs for veggies at dinner. Bad habit lately.)
    S- chocolate pudding whipped cream cookie thingy I made up for Easter and I just had to make again because it’s amazing! Total cheat.

    Exercise- 125 squats. Wow. Tough.

    My words for this Wednesday will not surprise Angela at all. Supposedly these words are in the Bible 365 times. One for each day of the year. “Do not be afraid.” I have figured out that fear is what holds me back and I’m done with it. I have decided to open my heart to the courage of God. He gives me strength every day. Now I will accept His bravery also.

  3. Change will not happen if change is not made.

    B. Vega, frozen spinach, frozen blueberries, 1c unsw. Almond milk, cinnamon, avocado
    L. Leftover cabbage,sausage,tomato,brown rice casserole
    S. Scoop Greek yogurt, sprinkles, lol, I was in such a snack mode I pulled out the sprinkles that I keep incase I make pancakes for the kids.
    D. Again…leftover cabbage casserole
    S. Lays new style chips. A bit too much sodium and made with canola oil. Felt munchie while
    shopping. And, guess what ? My stomach is feeling off. Duh, no surprise !!! When will I
    learn ????????????😡

    No exercise today. At office. Grocery shopped and went through each isle.

    Oh….had a McDonald’s caramel sundae w/nuts. I know, I know !!

  4. B- iced coffee, splash of almond milk, steel-cut oats, no dairy, berries on top.

    L, airport carrot sticks, cheese cubes, small bit of tomato soup. Thanks for nothing, United Club lounge 😂

    Snack-almonds, 3 scoops p-butter

    Dinner-aka: where I went off the rails, cheese and corn tortilla, small bit of ice cream.

    Exercise: spin class.

    Next week’s goal no dairy!!!

    1. Oh my gosh…. you eat like me! Ilike simple too!
      I LOVE dairy but am still doing the vegan-ish thing and I actually really love the way I feel without it. I still have it once or so a week though. Be sure to tell us how you feel without it!

  5. Ok ladies!!! I can’t believe I’m doing this but I am requesting a one week no sugar reset challenge!!! Since Easter I literally eat chocolate or candy everyday! Ugh! Not a huge amount, and I’m not over eating but all my cravings are back. (Side note is I seem to be able to manage portion size which is good but that could be a slippery slope). So as of tomorrow I’m cold turkey off the white stuff! Anyone with me???? I’ve seen the sugar creep back on these food logs as well since eater, so I know I’m not the only one! Lol I can’t be😬😬😬😬
    Today I had 3 vega bars and coffee
    Quinoa salad with roasted chicken
    Grilled tri tip with a roasted tell pepper sauce.
    Then…. chocolate!!!
    I skipped my sweet potatoe to fit the chocolate in my macros! Lol
    Exercise today was shoulders at the gym followed by a 20 min core circuit.

    1. Great idea Sarah, I also ate too much chocolate and other junk food and am trying to get on track. I have noticed that my cravings are back as well.
      I was wondering about the vega bars, I was going to try one but then I looked at the sugar content and it was pretty high so I didn’t get it, but eating them seems to be working for you.

  7. I was too busy thinking about chocolate last night to write a quote! Lol
    “Winners are just losers that tried one more time.”
    Don’t give up.

    1. Oh I love it! I saw something like this on instagram, you may have seen it. About toddlers learning to walk. They are constantly falling down but it never occurs to them to give up!
