DANGIT! Why do I keep forgetting the themes?! Once again I forgot and so I did not prepare you guys yesterday to have something for today. Luckily you ladies are the queens of tasty things!!!

Let me pull something out of the TKP archives to share since I am sharing this on the fly.

1/2 cup oatmeal, 1/2 cup applesauce, cinnamon

Wow, I just searched through TONS of food pictures and let me just say, not only should I get the award for eating the same thing for an extremely long period of time but my food pics have been terrible! So much Tupperware in the early TKP posts! I have since learned the dangers of heating plastic.

Anyway, due to the fact that I didn’t find a whole lot of exciting things to share. Here is one of my all time favorite “comfort foods”. Hot applesauce oatmeal. So easy yet so delicious!

Anyone have a fantastic recipe they would like to share?

Here is my food and my workout was 21 Day Fix Extreme Upper Fix!

  1. Hola! I had a stressful day that I did not enjoy! Lol
    Anyway, it’s over now so upward and onward:-)
    Food was all good.. same as usual. Well so far without the night munching. I’m determined not to snack tonight. I will do it!
    Exercise was a quick 45 min full body circuit at the gym.
    After my poop day I decided to buy a new work out top. I love it. I had never shopped at new balance before. It’s right across from the gym. Well! I got 15% off for being a Steve Nash member! Day just got brighter!!
    I made a new recipe today for tomorrow. It’s an Egyptian koshashi (something like that) its rice, lentils, rice noodles, tomatoes, vinegar and spices. It’s pretty tasty. Something new anyways:-) I’ll send out a pick but it’s pretty ugly!

  2. I had a good day, food was clean and sugar-free, but I also have trouble with late night snacking and I have to stop. It’s not because I’m hungry, I think it’s out of habit. It’s all clean food but too much of it. I bought Lily’s sugar-free dark chocolate bars sweetened with stevia but I ended up eating the whole bar. I worked late and didn’t go to the gym.

  3. Another busy baseball game night! Fun, but exhausting. I’ve been having Caesar salad for lunch this week. I am using shredded chicken from the crockpot and it is so good! Moist, not dry cold chunks of chicken. I just upped my salad game! So the last few days my husband and I experimented with wheat. We both got stomachaches, but no reactions, so it will not be a habit but at least we know it’s not a big deal. What a relief. Did a killer yoga back strength workout. I’m sore today! And I’m sorry, but “chair pose” is a squat hold. Seriously. Lol! I’m going to buy a new mattress tonight. I can’t wait!! I need better sleep so bad! I’ve been doing pretty good slowing down and taking a moment to clear my mind. It helps so much to enjoy life. I had a moment yesterday afternoon while I was rushing home that I got so frustrated, but I forced myself to just chill out and not make a big deal out of it. I hate rushing and I do it all the time. I’m working on that. Happy Wednesday everybody!!

    1. Morning Anne. So I have a little wheat tip for those of us who are very sensitive. Buy “00” flour. It’s from Italy. You can buy it at any Italian deli or import store. ( being in NY probably not hard to find). Its a much different kind of flour. Thin gluten shell, large wheat heart as oppose to North American flour which has a hard thick gluten shell and small wheat heart. Anyway, google it. It will make sense! You defiantly thank me! Lol.

      1. Awesome! Thank you! I’ve read about different kinds of wheat, and ancient grains but I didn’t know about that one. Now I just wish my bakery would use it to make my favorite crusty bread, lol!

      Ugh, sorry you guys got stomach aches 😦 But glad no reactions! What did you eat? I don’t think I have a lot of wheat. I stick to oats, rice, and quinoa as far as grains. Those aren’t wheat right? I think some people say the oatmeal is contaminated with wheat if it’s not a special kind but it doesn’t bother me so I keep it. I don’t do well with any sort of pasta. I get that bingey feeling when I have it.
      Yay for a new mattress!!! You are going to LOVE it!!!
      Oh man, yes! You definitely have to slow down and enjoy life. Ecclesiastes! “So I hated life, because the work that is done under the sun was grievous to me. All of it is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”

      1. That’s why I put Be Still in my meal plan this week. Slow down, enjoy, and let God be God. Love it!
        My wheat splurge was a cookie and my favorite fresh baked bread with butter. Wheat overload really, lol! But it was so good!!

  4. Lunch break and a quick read through. I get carried away and before I know it I have spent hours reading stuff.

    Been good with food. I did have to have something last night. I had to take the edge off…I think I am detoxing !!! Went through the cupboards frantically looking for anything! Anyways here is my day –
    B. Vega choc w/frozen kale, frozen strawberries, 1 c unsw almond milk, chia, cinnamon
    S. A fruit bar. Two ingredient. Apple. Cherry.
    L. Homemade pea/ham soup. 1/2 c.
    S. Almonds/cashews raw
    D. Cobb salad. Romaine, bacon, hb eggs, carrot, celery, tomato, hemp, Italian dressing, gr pepper
    S. Hot chocolate w/cinnamon, unsw almond milk.

    30 lunges, 30 squats. Not as strong as I had been with these. I was doing them daily.
