Hey Yall!

Today was weird, but not bad! It’s just that every now and then Anna will revert back to her newborn habits. We were up a 4am, then I took a nap at 7am. It just makes the day weird. I would have gotten up for the day but I stayed up way past midnight. Never fails, you stay up late, they wake up early. Sigh.

Lean, Mean, and Squeaky Clean Challenge! 

How can we make this challenge more fun? I know! We can go back to a theme for each day of the week. What’s today? Wednesday….. Hmmm. Workout Wednesday would be good but I took my rest day today so let’s make it….. Wednesday Words! Share some inspiration! Verses, favorite quotes, etc.

My win is that I finally figured out my 21 Day Fix container plan! Haha! I definitely should have prepared more. First, I had to figure out what I was going to do for vegan proteins then after a few days of starving to death and then eating my house I realized I was following the wrong plan! See, I have this thing with directions……I don’t like to read them……

Anyway, NOW I am all set and good to go! So my win for the week is that I finally figured everything out. 🙂

My other win should be that I learned to read directions but I am certain that this did not occur.

Helloooooo!

So this happened…

My son had a rash on his face all last week. I took him to the doctor last Thursday and she said it was bug bites. I knew it wasn’t bug bites because one, none of the rest of us had them and my aversion to the outdoors would not warrant him having a ton of bug bites. And two, they were only on his face! It was driving me crazy. Finally Sunday evening, I gave him yet another Honest Juice while I rubbed his head to comfort my sweet splotchy boy.

He tells me, “Mom, I don’t like that green apple juice.”

“Well it’s probably not the green apple that you don’t like, it’s probably one of the other flavors. ”

I look at the front of the juice box and I see a big green apple and an orange slice with something yellow lining the edge. I go to the box and check out the ingredients. Green apple juice, orange juice, and MANGO puree!!!

I had basically been mainlining mango into my son who has an allergy to mangos.

Epic mom fail 😦

Thankfully, he is ok and the rash is now almost completely faded but gah.

Ok onto our regularly scheduled post.

How’s it going girls? I wrote a post several weeks ago saying how we were in the trenches. Well, now we are REALLY in the trenches. We have been plugging along for a long time now and I am sure some of us are feeling less than motivated. I urge you to keep showing up! The feeling of accomplishment that comes from starting AND finishing something is so worth the time and effort that you put in. Let’s do this yall!

My food today was the same as yesterday and the workout was 21 Day Fix Extreme: Dirty 30. Ow! Definitely a humbling experience haha.

My Easter was wonderful and I stuck to my container system. I’m glad I did because I am feeling great today! I hate that puffy icky feeling.

If you read Anne’s amazing news that her husband does NOT have celiac then you read that they went out to eat to celebrate. The restaurant was called Dark Horse. They got local grass fed burgers on gluten free rolls and chocolate mouse! Yum!

 

Here’s my food! I don’t have the portion sizes on the meal plan anymore because I am using the Portion Fix containers. Today’s workout was 21 Day Fix Extreme: Cardio! Wowee, back to wetting my pants 😦
